The spool induction rotor assembly rotates in and out of the adaptive ring array, depending on the spool RPM, creating a Lorentz force that in turn induces a braking force on the spool.(A):Expand(B):Contract(1):The strength of the magnetic field is based on the distance between the adaptive magnetic ring array and the spool induction rotor. As both components are dynamic, the spacing will be closer the faster the spool rotates and in turn increase the braking force.(2):Under high RPM: The spool induction rotor will rotate due to a cam mechanism be allowed to move closer to the adaptive magnetic ring array.
